Reflection

After studied this course, I have learnt a lot of thing about the web such as way to write a blog, customize and personalize the blog so that it would look attractive. Furthermore, things that I learnt from this assignment is by customizing the blog, it would be more user-friendly and attractive. I have learnt that images and texts must be cooperate in order to let audiences to understand more (Kress and van Leeuwen 2006).

In the blog, I have put images, texts and widget into this blog due to multimodal plays an important role among audiences nowadays (Kress and van Leeuwen 2001). Besides, I also realize that to enhance the readability, it is important to know about the layouts, composition of salience and framing (Kress and van Leeuwen 2006). I also understand that the way in which elements of a compostion may be connected to each other through the absence of disconnection devices, vectors, continuities and similarities of colour, visual shape and so on (Kress and van Leeuwen 2001). I also understand more about designs are to realize discourses in the context of a given communication situation (Kress and van Leeuwen 2001).

In short, I would like to thank Miss Jenny as she has used the simplest way to teach us such as visual communication, design principles, genre and so forth. Moreover, I have learnt that in order to create a document, we must research about the audience, purpose and context for the document.
